Toolmaker / Machinist

The Role

​

Your primary role will be to work within the manufacturing team, machining components using all available shop-floor equipment, including: saws, milling machines, lathes, grinders and EDM equipment

The right person must be:

• Highly self-motivated

• Be available to work overtime at short notice

• Always demonstrate good housekeeping and safe working practices

​

Key requirements are:

• 38 hours plus overtime

• 25 days holiday + statutory

• Time served

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience

• Excellent manual milling skills (Protrak knowledge desirable)

• Experience of wire erosion, spark erosion, CNC, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding all desirable

• Subcontract experience preferred but not essential

• Experience of machine building desirable

• Qualified to BTEC ONC/HNC or equivalent preferred but not essential

• Mig/Tig welding experience, but not essential

• Full driving licence

• Flexible approach to overtime to meet the demands of subcontract machining
